This CAT 5e works for 10/100 Mbps transfer speeds and also 1000mbps(1Gbps) speeds, both CAT 5 and CAT 5e have four twisted pairs of wires, but the difference is CAT 5 only utilises only 2 of these pairs, while CAT 5e uses all 4.

this type of cables is a fully shielded and able to support bandwidths up to 600 MHz with 10 Gbps speeds. Category 7 cables consist of an SSTP(shielded twisted pair) wires and the layers of shielding and insulation contained within them more extensive than CAT 6 cables.
Shielded layers of CAT 7 cables must be grounded otherwise performance may be reduced than not only CAT 6 but also CAT 5.so it’s very important to know the type of connectors at the ends of a CAT 7 cable.
But for your personal or home usage I suggest you buy CAT 5, CAT 5e or CAT 6 cables because it’s less expensive and easier to use.
How to connect two computers using LAN cable
Follow the below steps to connect two computers, if you have a question “How to connect two computers using a LAN cable.”
to begin, go to “Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings.”
Click on “Change Adapter Settings.” This window will show you different connections.
Select the appropriate connection for your LAN. Usually, but not necessarily,
the connection will be called Ethernet and have the description network cable unplugged.
Right-click on the connection and select “Properties.”
The local area’s connection properties window will appear.
Under the network tab, select “Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4),” after a click on “Properties.”

IP – 192.168.0.5
Subnet Mask – 18.104.22.168
Repeat the above steps for the second computer, and set the subnet mask and IP address as follows:
IP – 192.168.0.6
Subset Mask – 22.214.171.124
Notice: you will need to be sure that the final values of the IP address for each computer system are completely different.
The subsequent step is to attach the crossover cable to the network ports of the two computer systems.
Each end of the network cable look identical, so it doesn’t matter which finish you employ first.
The network ports look one thing just like the picture below. (note that most new laptops don’t have LAN ports.
Right-click on “This PC,” and select “Properties.” Click on “Change settings -> Change.”
This window reveals with the title of the work-group. The worth for the work-group title must be identical for each PC.
By default, the work-group title will probably be “WORK-GROUP“. However, you’ll be able to change it to any name you want.
Right-click on the drive you wish to share. Scroll to the “Give access to” choice and click on “Advanced Sharing.”

Particular folders or data can now be transferred.
To share specific folders or records data from PC 1 with PC 2,
right-click on the desired folder or file in PC 1,
scroll to the “Give access to” option and click on “Specific Peoples.”
Choose “Everyone” from the drop-down menu within the file-sharing window. Next, click on “Add” and click on “Share.”
